Thursday Five

My five..
1. I got a *new job.* No, really, I did. I didn't want to say anything until all the i's were dotted and the t's were crossed. I start in about a week. I still will work for the same university, but I will be in another department. It seems like a position more suited for my educational background and career interests. :)
2. Happy Hours after work. Yesterday my guy came to my job (he had some presentation to give to students) and we had a mini-excursion. We headed to a place to buy beer brewing supplies to make beer (we have a beer fridge in the garage!) and then had dinner with drinks. Traffic is so not awful when you leave work later. It might be something to try out more often!
3. Baseball season. Hello baseball season! Baseball season gives me cheap entertainment (either going to a Rays game or watching it at home or at a bar) and a reason to get friends and family together. Since Tampa's football team is quite awful, baseball season is where we can at least hopefully redeem ourselves.
4. Birthday Parties. A good friend is having a birthday fiesta this weekend that involves a baseball game, dinner and drinks on the beach and a wild night. I love to plan parties and I hope this one works out!
5. Mail. I got some awesome freebies in the mail this week! I got a 36 Bic Permanent Marker set from ivillage.com, I got shampoo, conditioner, hairspray and straightening creme from Pantene and Cosmopolitan (I apparently signed up to be a tester, I don't even remember this!). I'll try to pass along these offers to you all if I can remember where I found them! =)

Found you through "A girl in pearls & a boy with toys!" I loved that you loved baseball and beer! I AGREE!!! I just moved from FL a month or so ago, and I miss the beaches SO much! I look forward to getting to know you more!
