Top Three Thursday | Vacations

Top Three Thursday: Vacations

For this week's meme, I'm going to pick my top 3 travel destinations. If you have ever been, please share some insight! I have two summer vacations already lined up, but I would love to start planning my next journey. :)

1. VEGAS!

This is definitely a *must do* on my list. I'm thinking wild, spontaneous weekend next year!

2. Wine Country | California

I would love to spend a week in California exploring... visiting some wineries would be high up on my list of things to do.

3. Amsterdam / Europe

I would love to disappear to Europe for a few weeks. I would start, of course, in Amsterdam!

& P.S. : The lovely Kelly at Confessions of a Law School Dropout is holding *another* giveaway! This time for a Coach wristlet and Borders gift card! Please enter here and tell her I sent you!

Good Picks! Wine country is fabulous and so is Vegas!

I've been to Vegas twice and we stayed at The Stratosphere and Circus, Circus. I recommend NOT staying at those two places because they are further down the strip and you have to take a bus or a taxi or the monorail to get almost anywhere.

Vegas is soooo much fun though!! Catch a show, for sure, and take in some nightlife too :) The clubs are great!!!

I want to go to Europe SO badly! I've been to Vegas about ten times (give or take) since it's a really cheap trip from Seattle. It's SO fun (esp. if you make it a girls trip). I don't really gamble but I love it for fun days spent by the pool and shopping then going out dancing at the clubs in the evening, plus there's really great food at the buffets (If you go, Mirage, Planet Hollywood and Bellagio have the best buffets on the strip).

As Kinsey mentioned, try to stay towards the other side of the strip (Circus Circus, etc are kinda dirty and broke down). Mandalay Bay is GORGEOUS but pricey. The Mirage is a great centrally located hotel that often has great specials, NY NY is good, as is Planet Hollywood, Venitian and Paris. Monte Carlo isn't the fanciest but it's centrally located and usually super cheap (same with Luxor). Caesar's is awesome but not always very cheap.

If you want to go clubbing, anything at the Palms is fun (Moon is my fav), Tryst is really cool although often crowded and Pure is really cool but a pain to wait in line so make sure you get on the guest list (let me know if you go, I'll give you someone's # for that).

Sorry I rambled so much, I just love vacation planning! :P
