Day 11: New Year Resolutions
You know that feeling when you re-read your resolutions from last year and you're like...ugh...really?! I mean, wow, my goals certainly have changed since January 2010. My focus hasn't gone completely out the window, but my main goals are still the same.
01; Graduate -- Yep, this is still on list of resolutions. Seeing as how I changed my graduate program very late in the game, I'm a bit behind. I only need three more classes to complete this degree, so I'm pretty confident I will accomplish this.
02; Save -- Again, another resolution from last year that I didn't really accomplish. Sure, I have some things to show for myself this year, but not anything really in that bank account! LOL
03; Continue to limit my fast food intake and watch my beer drinking.
04; Home Renovations -- We keep talking about painting and doing this and that, so it's time to actually schedule time for us to do so!
05; Take Time For Us -- With opposite work schedules, my soon to be husband and I have a difficult time doing things together. Sure, we have a Friday night here and a Sunday afternoon there, but for the most part our schedules are icky. I just hope that after the wedding, we can take time for *us* and enjoy being a newlywed.
06; Cook something new once a month
07; Work on that credit card debt
08; READ! Holy moly, I try to read more every year, but I never get around to it. I love to read, but I think I've only managed to read five books this year. That's sooo not enough!
09; Volunteer my time
10; Stay optimistic, stress-free (if possible!), and work on the friendships in my life.

Day 13: Cookie Recipe
I soooo don't have one, so I googled liquor cookies. I was curious. This came up, it seems intriguing!

1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. sifted powdered sugar
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/4 c. dark rum
Additional powdered sugar
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; stir well. Shape into 1 inch balls and let stand 10 minutes. Sprinkle additional powdered sugar over balls. 4 dozen.
Day 14: Oprah's Favorite Things
How about an iPad?! I really have no use to it, but it would be neat to have.
And, definitely the Coach Sophia bag!! I need a new handbag in my life.

Does that Coach Sophia bag come in black?!
And I can't pay full price!
When don't you need a new handbag? I say never! I REALLY need one though! :)
Love your tree!
Love the pup pic!
and..
my new years resolutions pretty much went out the window last Feb! :)
OMG, you just reminded me of how I need to make some resolutions. Last year my resolution should have been to think of a resolution for this year!
Stopping by from the Monday hop to say "Hi!"
Have a GREAT week!
Hey Krystal, your header was so fabulously worded, I wish I would have thought of it. That is so me too, he he, love it.
Your blog is too cute, love everything I've seen so far, and your resolutions, well I feel them, all of them. Sad to see that even without kids, you and your hunny still don't have time to spend with each other. I guess me and my guy, should not feel so bad, lol.
Come over to say hi, and link up some of your FABULOUSLY TACKY projects, I would love to have you, for real.
Thanks Bella :)
Your newest follower for sure, gurl!!
Oooh I totally need to try that cookie recipe!
I read where one family put their resolutions in their Christmas stockings when they packed them away. Why are we so "pumped" to do better and then forget it by Feb. Or let it hang over our head each time we think of it? Well, the coach bag would totally help me forget and to go way over the top, storing an ipad in it would make everything merry and bright!
I love your Christmas tree! It's so full!!! I'm going to be working on paying debt down still too!
