Ringing in the New Year

We spent all day cleaning in preparation for 2011. Scott asked me if we were having company, but I just said that I didn't want to being the New Year with a messy house! Fair enough, right? We got ready, drove to our local downtown area and watched the last sunset of the year. There were two different weddings at the pier taking pictures and I couldn't help but stare. That will be us in less than two months. The idea is thrilling and entirely frightening. I feel like there's so much left to accomplish, but I've been told that it's amazing just how much you can get done in the final days up to the wedding. I hope those words of wisdom are accurate.

After the sun set, we wandered downtown and hydrated. We knew we were in for a long night (but we had no idea just how crazy it would get!). We had decided to go to our local beer bar for their New Year's Party -- open bar, food, and a hopeful good time. It was neat because there were no bartenders, you simply walked behind the bar and poured your own brew. I always wanted to be a bartender!

I had a great New Year's toast, kiss, and overall great night. An old friend met up and we shared some drinks and we caught up on everything going on in our lives.

While the night may have ended on a sour note due to drunk customers starting fights with my fiance', it was still quite a legendary way to begin 2011. And, to be honest, I wouldn't have expected anything less than an epic night with some sort of dramatics.

Happy New Year!

Why do some people always want to fight when they drink?? Those people should stay home. I am glad that most of your night was good.

That's one thing I hate about people out drinking, some just don't know how to behave! Glad you had a good new years!
