What's been going on?!

It's been a long time since I've actually written a "real" post. As you've noticed, this blog has been set on auto-pilot while the wedding recaps post daily. I'm sure I bored a bunch of you with those, but they were necessary! Woo, was that a project to finish. My honeymoon recaps will be next, but I believe they will run at the end of the month. So... here's what has been going on lately (aside from my really big announcement I posted earlier today!).

• I got a new job. Two of them to be exact. I'm working at the same university while also part timing at radio station in promotions (doing on-site events). Basically I'm advising students and spending my nights/weekends handing out bumper stickers. I've actually never been happier with the employment situation than now. I'm actually WANTING to go to work. Weird.
• I'm obviously losing my free time since I've taken on two jobs. It's not a consistent schedule, (for example, I'm off this weekend but I worked all last) which allows me to still have beach days!

Memorial Day weekend was a blur--a fun blur--but still busy. I worked Friday night, Saturday AND Sunday... until FINALLY relaxing with a nice bucket o rum Sunday evening.

On Memorial Day, we were both off work for a change and decided to head to Downtown Tarpon Springs for some tacky tourist fun. Downtown Tarpon Springs is adorable and totally kitschy--it's a historic Greek area with good food, the sponge docks, and silly shopping. I had a gyro for lunch (yum yum!) at one of my favorite places down there (Hella's). The interior decor is total cheese -- I wish I remembered to take pictures!

After some walking, we decided to head to the beach and Scott surprised me and got a tattoo! He did this to "match" the one I got before the wedding. Different lyrics, different design, same song.



This past weekend we headed, where else, to the beach because we had some out of town visitors! We showed them the sights and enjoyed a nice day in the sun. :)

Now.... I'm almost all caught up with blogs, school, work, books... sheesh! I might post a TON today but that's only because I'm trying to have my blog ready to go for the weekend. I just might be getting a lot of hits.
