Guess Who's Back...

I exist! Honest. I mean, I am totally disconnected besides my iPhone but I'm here. I'm reading. I'm checking email. Things have been hectic and quite busy since the move. While we don't have our furniture and important things like our TV and computer, we do have all our cookware and clothing. Priorities, people. We are going on our third week in our new city and I'm enjoying it.

Job: I like both of my jobs a lot better than the ones I had before. A LOT. Immense like. I am less miserable and enjoying my spare time more.

People: Everyone is weirdly nice. It's very small town. Friendly. The gas station lady talks to me like we are long lost friends. Though, there comes a bad with that. In CVS while waiting in a long line, someone shared her entire life story right down to the fact that she was returning cartons of cigarettes that once belonged to her husband. Who died. Yesterday. Awkward.

City: I live near Naples--not in Naples. Big difference. I feel like I'm kind of in the sticks because, I mean, next door to my office is a cow pasture. That's different. But, there are also areas that are super built up and a huge mall nearby aith just about every store that I could ever want. It's an interesting balance.

Dogs: I thought my dog, Denali, was dying or something. He was acting super strange. Turns out he was just EMO. The move spooked him. All the dogs seem to be adjusted now!

House: The house we are renting is built oddly, but I am enjoying the storage space in the kitchen! So many more cabinets and counter space. That's an upgrade. So... the floor might have 4 different kinds of tile and the room we have chosen from our bedroom has its own separate A/C unit... I do like it. We have a large yard, separate garage, and we are on the end of a quiet street. This is nice. :)

Fitness: Since I don't have to work until 9 in the mornings and my commute is no longer an hour and a half (Major WIN), I can actually try to work out again. Let's see how this goes. I've completed the first day of Couch to 5K and it was rough. Hello, I'm out of SHAPE! Either way, I'm trying. There's also a nearby gym that's only $10 a month which is definitely in my price range. I also found a zumba studio across the street from my job. I am loving all these very local options. Back home, things weren't so close!

Money: A few bloggers have posted about being on a Spending Challenge for the month. I think I'm just going to record and blog about what I buy. I think it will be fun since it's ETSY purchases and random Target things... or some massive CVS couponing. You will see, I don't spend too crazily. Everything is on sale or I have a coupon.

Baseball: All you Texas bloggers are making me crazy... ;-) You all know I'm a Rays fan... we are sucking it up. Let's hope this afternoon we can do a little something and NOT LOSE. I know you would be happy if they did, but whatever. GO RAYS! =)

And.... you see that giveaway link in the top right? CLICK! Enter again. Or... enter for the first time. I've extended the deadline until next Monday. Hooray for giving things away!
