I just finished a book literally ten minutes ago and decided to have an entire Chelsea Handler post.
Just Finished:

Her siblings, stylist, makeup artist, friends, etc. each write a chapter about how Chelsea has f*cked with their lives. Pretty entertaining. Her dog, Chunk, also wrote a post. I think my favorite part was reading how she frequently sends scandalous emails on her friends' accounts. Good prank.
Chelsea's books aren't exactly rocket science, but I do keep up with them. I should confess that I loved Chelsea before she had a TV show... and I have never watched one episode of her E show. I don't know why, I just never did. I've kept it that way. Everyone says I'm missing out, but I don't know what I'm missing. The only show I *did* watch was Girls Behaving Badly -- a terrible prank show on some channel that I don't even remember. I was living in Orlando (so this is like WAY long time ago, 2005?) when it aired. I started watching it because it had Melissa from Real World on.
In my opinion --
Best Chelsea Book:

Maybe because I read it so long ago or because it was the first book I read of hers forever ago. I just remember it being hysterical. I should re-read it and see if it's still my favorite.
Worst:

I don't know why -- it didn't do much for me. Maybe it's because I remember there were a lot of references to her show ... something that I'm totally unfamiliar with.
The Book That Was Made Into A TV Show:

No - really - it was. The preview is below. Apparently it is slated for January on NBC. I can't tell if I love it or I think it's terrible. The fake laugh track in the back kind of ruins it for me! I do however love Laura Prepon playing Chelsea. She is kind of perfect for it.
{Today is also Friendly Friday. I threw my name on the linkup there today so here's the button.}

I totally agree with you: My Horizontal Life was totally her funniest. I haven't read Lies yet, but it's on my list. She's so hilarious! And somewhat offensive, but sometimes it's a line that just has to be crossed. Haha!
I have read both My Horizontal Life and Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang, and I totally agree that My Horizontal Life was better. I have the rest of her books on my Kindle just waiting to be read :-)
UGH. I hate that I still haven't read any of her books! I need to do something about that.
I think I'll give her show a try!
I love Chelsea! Her books are perfect after finishing a great but depressing book. My husband hates when I read her book because I am always laughing and he feels like he is missing out.
I LOVE all her books and omg I have to watch that TV show, great cast & Beastie from Glee is in it awesome!!!! :-)
I read Vodka this summer and LOVED it. I think I vaugely knew that they were making a show from the book and I'm sooo excited to tune in! I like Laura too, welcome back to TV, right? Have a great weekend, Krystal!
Lies That Chelsea Handler Told Me is on my to read list! I have read her other first two books. I love her books (and her show)!
I've only read one of her books and I really need to read the rest!
Yes ... I agree with everything you said. I need to laugh a little this week - maybe I'll download her book. Stop byu today if you can - and if you get my book for $0.99 I would love to host a review/giveaway or something with you - let me know :)www.shaunanosler.blogspot.com
Ahhh I've been dying to read the new one, I've read all her others and LOVED them. I'm obsessed with Chelsea, seriously.. I don't understand why the 2 of us aren't already best friends!
I love Chelsea Handler!!! And her books. I haven't read the last one yet. I'm not so sure about the tv show on NBC either. I want it to be good, but I feel like I might be disappointed. Guess I'll have to wait.
