This is us now.

I save EVERYTHING. And, for some reason, in this move I unearthed middle school yearbooks and other funny trinkets that I had saved.
I'm pretty sure she never told me she played a string instrument. I actually GASPED when I saw this picture!
More 6th Grade Awesomeness:
Oh yes. Jen and in the top right is ME with weird curls in my face and a hippie shirt. Though -- Jen also has a flower design on her shirt too. Flowers were totally in.
Perhaps the best part of 6th grade was Superlatives. They gave EVERYONE a superlative so no one felt left out. However -- that left Jen getting voted "Shortest" of our class. I was "Valley Girl." That's not very nice, is it?!

7th Grade. Apparently she was a "Sweetie."
Our NSYNC devotion in writing. She totally signed this in my yearbook!
8th Grade. She has a box around her picture. That meant I liked you.

This was at MY 16th birthday. I remember it was 16th because Jen drove. She was the first person I knew to have a car and a license! I'm the second head poking out behind her.

For some reason, I don't have any "real" pictures of Jen & I together from way back when unpacked yet. I realize this makes me look like a stalker, but at least I didn't play the violin.
So -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY. You know what the best part about knowing each other this long is?
Blackmail.
Have a good day! :-)

hahaha, this is an awesome post!! I love that everyone used to write comments under friends yearbook pics and highlight and H.A.G.S. AND K.I.T. and all that jazz...Happy Birthday, girl!
You're an awful friend! Kudos! :)
Happy Birthday Jen!
OMG this is the funniest THING EVERRRRR! Good thing I'm not easily embarrassed...at all. SO FREAKING FUNNY. I die over and over again haha. I have yearbooks with highlighted pictures everywhere. I don't have your picture highlighted. Must have meant I knew you'd do this to me one day.
What a difference a year makes from that highlighted picture (14 yrs old) to the 16 year old picture. haha thank goodness.
In celebration, we should go roller skating when you are back in town.
Oh and who knew I was a chunkster until the age of 16 too? I forgot I used to be fat. Now that I'm officially past my prime, I'm going to try to look more like my 16 yr old picture than my 11 year old picture.
This is SO awesome!!! Happy birthday Jen!

This is awesome! I wish some of my friends blogged. I love the old school pictures!
YES YES YES YES YES. Love ittttttttttt! You are a great friend and I hope Jen is having a stellar bday!
BTW, I have an arsenal of Prymary Colorz pics.
I also wore some pretty short shorts in that string picture. HAHAHA. Some things never change. Remember that dude at the American Craft Beer thing that said my dress was too short? What can I say? I like showing my knees.
I can't promise this will be my last comment of the day. I keep checking back to read the comments and laugh at the whole post all over again.
This post is fantastic!! Not kidding, my best friend and I signed each other's notes, cards, and yearbooks with "Stay *NSYNC". We thought we were so cool!!
HAHA! I love it! I love that you girls have known each other so long! Happy Birthday to Jen!!! She's great!
