Happy "Haulidays" {Chronicle Books}

Chronicle Books is having this kind of amazing contest where you can win $500 in books. They're giving one lucky blogger, commenter AND charity of that winning blogger's choice to win $500 in books. Each! So -- hopping on the bandwagon here -- but here are the books that I would like to see under my Christmas tree if I were to win $500 from Chronicle Books! And -- don't forget to comment! If the stars align and I'm the super winner, one of my commenters will win too! :D

So ... where to begin? I personally love how Chronicle Books has all the "fun" and interesting books out there right now. It's a great site for browsing if you're looking for a gift for someone. So many humor and cooking books -- my favorites!

The Books:

First, let's talk about all their fun journals and notebooks before we get into the real literature. I love all these:

You Can Wear It Again A Celebration of Bridesmaids' Dresses

This would be a great gift for a beer drinker {or for myself, whatever!}:

BeerA Genuine Collection of Cans

This cover just looks pretty neat -- would love to see what's inside!

The Indie Rock Poster Book

And... duh... gotta add this to the list

Boo!

Last but not least, this book looks hysterical. Must. Flip. Through.

Stoner Coffee Table Book

Side Note: I used Chronicle Books to order postcards to serve as a "guestbook" for our wedding. Here's one set that I ordered:

Our Love Is Here to Stay: 15 Postcards of Affection

{They were SO cute!}

The Charity:

Now for the serious stuff. If I were to win, I would love for Chronicle Books to support Reading is Fundamental. I just heard about them recently in the news because their program is basically being cut back extensively due to budget cuts. :-( Reading is Fundamental is the largest children’s literacy nonprofit in the United States and helps to make sure that every child in America can read and has access to books.

The Comments: Don't forget to leave a comment. If I*win* one of you do too!

Such a great list of books you've posted here! AND Reading is Fundamental is a great nonprofit to support. I worked at a school where a majority of the children didn't even have one book at home. It is important for programs like Reading is Fundamental to be out there supporting our children!

Omg you have an adorable blog!! I absolutely love the layout, did you design it yourself? These books are so much fun, I have seen a few of them in stores before. I absolutely love books, especially fun journal type books...I think you saw my art journal on my blog.

What a fun, fun list. I kept mine fairly serious. If I don't win my own haul, winning yours would sure lift my spirits!
