Silly Things I Love {Twistbands}

I like a lot of little things -- simple pleasures. Besides being easily amused, I just have appreciation for the small (aka cheap) stuff. Since I have longer hair and I'm constantly switching between having it up or down (usually the Florida weather allows me to wear my hair long for a few hours before Mr. Frizz decides it's time to put it up), I always rock the hairtie on my wrist. There's nothing special about a simple black hair tie.

Back in August, Birchbox treated its members to a Twistband. It was a knotted elastic hair tie. It didn't look like anything special ... but let me tell you ... it's kind of amazing. I don't know why I loved it so much. It looks a little "nicer" than a regular hair tie and it's already November and my ONE twistband has held up. Surprisingly, I haven't even lost it.

Though -- it's time to add to my twistband collection. I can't wear one hair tie for the rest of my life, can I?

I found Twistband's site and a 20% off code via Google... and picked two sets! I wanted "fun" colors since I wear them every day.

Oh yes. Neon. I won't be rockin' her 90s hairdo though.

I really liked these colors too. I wear a lot of these bright shades to work!

I made my order before November, but this newly added twistband would have been a good one to add to my cart:

Funny! It's the Mr. Mustache collection. It's a little more expensive than the regular sets but it's for charity!

Anyway, I did not get paid for this post or was given anything free. It was just something that Birchbox showed me that I loved. And, yes, I did manage to ramble on (and on) about a frickin' hair tie. Don't judge me!

Edited to add: Just found this on their website--"commemorate a bachelorette or birthday party with custom-printed bands ... the uses are endless!" Wow... that would be neat.... a fun colored personalized hair tie for a bach party....or birthday!

I SO Love this post! Plus, Twistbands are worthy of a long rambling post. : ) I used Birchbox credits to get 2 sets (more conservative colors then yours though...black, blue, grey, white and a different color blue) and a Zoya nail polish. : )

I think I have taken two things from this post- 1) I need BirchBox and 2) I need these hair ties! Any hair ties worthy of a post are worthy of a try.

Also I love all things moustache! So cute!

The best thing about them, they don't leave bumps when you take your hair down.
