I always love finishing these challenges because I know in the future I will reference them... and I actually referenced two years worth of blog challenges to help me finish this one! :)
Today's Topic...
New Year's!
I'm go back as far as Facebook allows.
Ringing in 2008. On stage at my favorite club.

Memories! We had bottle service and a table at a brand new club... only to have the fire department shut it down moments before New Years! We ran next door, our bottle cleverly disguised in a garbage bag. We made it just in time and poured our own drinks! I miss those two lovely ladies!
Ringing in 2009

We did the beach thing. Watched the sunset on the last day in 2009 and headed to one of our favorite beach dive bars for New Year's.

Our friend James passed away a few months after -- but I always remember this New Year's as being SO FUN! We lit fireworks off at the beach and my Vera Bradley bag caught on fire! Durrrrr... Too funny.
Ringing in 2010

Another beach bar crawl!

I think we hit five or six stops before calling it quits at a beach bar!

This night ended tragically... but don't they all after a lot of booze?

Ringing in 2011
One of our local beer bars was having an "open bar." Sign us up.

You got a stein... and you got to pour your own beverage!

It was a pretty chill night...

... until boys drink too much and start trouble & we had to go home. Not my boy but others! We left at like 1am.
Ringing in 2012...
... Where will we be?
Do we want to go home to Tampa? Try out Miami? Take a trip to the Florida Keys?
We have to act fast as my top choice for New Year's has already sold out as far as nearby hotels go... Can't go if we have no place to stay afterward! And, my rule for New Year's is... No waiting around for cabs. It's ridiculous spending an hour waiting for a cab and then not knowing when you're going to be picked up again!
Where should we go? Any ideas?
My requirements:
I would like to be by the water. Fireworks over the water sounds pretty nice.
I'd like it to be somewhere "different." I don't want to do the same thing twice.
Not ridiculously expensive. I'm not going to go to a South Beach club or anything.
Any tips are appreciated. ;)

Looks like you've had some fun New Year's Eve celebrations! Too funny that your Vera Bradley bag caught fire...I would have be so upset!
I'm not sure if they do it in Tampa, but in DC a lot of bars have $50 open bar specials on NYE..we always do it since it saves us a lot of money. You should see if you can find one of those for NYE!
How fun! I wish I could be someplace warm for this NYE! Oh gosh last year I waited an hour for a cab and it was FREEZING!!
I love that you took the bottle with you! Very resourceful plus you probably paid a lot! The beach dive bar nights look like a blast. I wish we lived near the beach! so fun! Hope you find somewhere great to go this year!
You have some great New Years memories!
What fun memories! We've never done anything TOO New Year's but I want us to do something fun this year!
Fun! I don’t do anything for New Year’s anymore. I was pregnant two out of the last four and was asleep before midnight! Maybe I’ll change it up this year. Wherever you go, be sure to blog about it!
Not gonna lie - you and the hubs look like THE people to party with on NYE!
I love seeing photos from how others celebrate NYE! I hope you find something god to do this year!
I'm not super familiar with the Keys, but everyone talks about how amazing Key West is!
Looks like you have awesome new years eve's.
:)
love all the pictures! Cute couple!
You could always go on one of those new years cruises that just does that evening and comes back around 1 am.
