Resolutions
- Graduate.
- Travel.
- Save.
- Exercise.
- Eat Right.
I kept them simple so that I wouldn't feel overwhelmed or like a big failure face if I didn't keep up with them. The good news? I did pretty well.
I graduated this past summer with my Master's in Education. I traveled--we went on a 7 day cruise to Mexico, Honduras and Grand Caymen. We went to the Florida Keys for a week...and we moved to a new city. That definitely counts as "travel" even if it was only three miles away from hom.
I saved some money. I spent some money. My savings account isn't $0--so that's a plus. It's not much higher than that though...LOL. I exercised here and there. I tried running. I didn't keep up with any PLAN but I did work out and I also watched what I ate. I gave in to McDonald's here and there, don't get me wrong, but I did cook more. I ate a lot of grilled chicken and vegetables. I feel like I cook six nights a week. I always make lunch at home now so that's not only a big savings--but it's certainly healthier.
Am I in better shape this year than last year? No. I was smaller at my wedding at the beginning of 2011 than I am now... but I *feel* better. All in all -- I'd say my 2011 Resolutions were as successful as they could be.
So -- in 2012 -- what do I want my resolutions to be? What do I want to strive for every day? It's a whole new ball game now. I don't have as stressful as a job. I'm not busy doing homework in my off time. I have more time for me. What do I want to do with that me time?
Some of these are more "goals" than "resolutions," but I think keeping track of them here will be helpful.
Finish C25K. {Couch to 5k}
Join a women's social & volunteer organization.
Stick to meal planning. I have a full year membership to E-Mealz to keep me on track with budgeting for groceries and for planning.
Take classes for fun--art, dance, writing, computers. Anything.
Continue to journal and finish my Gadanke journals.
Order our wedding album.
Start & Finish both college and wedding scrapbooks.
Read all the unread books on my bookshelf. I keep buying -- but not reading.
Digitize all our old family photos.
Plan a vacation.
Those 10 items are a good start for my 2012 resolutions. I will be sure to add more to the list and post it when the New Year begins.

I think these goals rock! The woman's volunteer organization is such a great way to meet people too!
I love this list. I am working on one with some very similar goals, and seriously, I'm right there with you on the books. I keep trying to not buy new ones, and it just never works. I'm getting better, though!
Great list, you did so well last year!
We share some of the same goals! I want to join a social/volunter organization and digitize our photos. We have some many photos!!
Great goals! Good luck with them!
Good job this year and great goals for next year! I really need to sit down and make my list too!
I just want to let you know that I spent my entire day at work (I know working hard...) reading all about your wedding. It looked like so much fun! If/when I ever get married I want my reception to be just like that! Totally stealing that shot idea! haha
I need to scrapbook more, too! I've let so many pictures just pile up.
Great list!
You have accomplished so much this year!
Great list!! :)
I need to make one for myself so I can get on track
Good luck! You can totally accomplish all of these!
