If you've seen this stuff cheaper anywhere else, let me know! I feel like Target is my "price guide" -- cheaper than Babies R Us but still can sometimes be pricier than other stores depending on the week. Also, if the stuff listed below is baby junk, let me know too. I value your opinions!
A jogging stroller for $80? That's pretty sweet. In fact, I registered for this guy. I already have a stroller with a cheapie travel system we have, but I figured this could be a good addition. Ya know - just in case I decide to go "jogging" with said infant.
This contraption is a million dollars. It's marked down a LOT this week. I have NO ONE to talk to about breastfeeding and returning to work, so if you've had to go through this please identify yourself so I can begin to harass you. ;) I am not even entirely sure I will get any sort of maternity leave so I need to figure out that whole situation pretty quickly! My mom formula fed and I'm pretty much the only pregnant gal I know that doesn't exist online.

Have you seen a boppy for $20 (or cheaper)? Even used boppy's at the children's consignment store are almost that price.
People said I should use these.
Those are the main items I saw that are cheap enough to make me cringe that I can't buy them right now!
Am I on the right track with my registry? What products worked for you?
What Memorial Day Sales have you seen?

Please harass me all you want when it comes to working and breastfeeding! I have managed to make it work and it is actually a lot easier than I thought. By the way, I have the medela pump in style tote and LOVE it! It's PERFECT for the working and pumping momma!!! You need it!!
Oh, and also. The only bottles K would take when it was time to go back to work were the playtex drop in nursers with the latex nipples. She is better about taking all sorts of bottles now but she definitely prefers the boob!
I'm going to troll the comments for good advice from experienced moms! I need it. I looked at strollers and left feeling like I have no idea what's going to work for us. And I'm afraid I'm going to buy something cheap that'll collapse and decapitate the baby or something. Not that I'm paranoid or anything ;-)
That's the pump I got!
I know all about working and breastfeeding and pumping. Still doing it at 17 months! i had that pump and I ended up buying the Avent Double Electric from Walmart. I preferred the Avent - it was gentler and let you control the suction and speed completely unlike the medela that has certain settings. I used the Medela for the first six months though and still use it occasionally now. Find a breastfeeding support group. I'll add you to the one I'm a part of online but try to find a local one too.
We had a jogging stroller and I hated it. They are a b*tch to turn. We used our travel stroller until he was about a year old and now we have a umbrella stroller that we use all the time.
As for bottles - we did well with the breastflow bottles. While he took them! If you can arrange a way to feed him during your lunch break it will help maintain your supply.
Ask me anything at all! :)
I know nothing about baby stuff but I do know I LOVE Target!
Jogging strollers are great for the beach, too, because the wheels don't get stuck in the sand :)
I breastfed/pumped for 13+ months (working for 10+ months of that time), so feel free to harass me - it definitely isn't the easiest thing in the world, but I'm a firm believer that if you really want to make it work there is almost always a way. (This coming from someone who pumped on her commute home every night, too, haha.) There are plenty of resources for breastfeeding mamas, and they're invaluable when it feels like it would just be easier to give up or things get overwhelming. Everything about being a mom the first time is a learning experience, and you'll also get a dozen different answers for any question you have, but you just have to figure out what works for you - which is often a mix of everything that worked for other people :)
And try not to go too crazy buying one kind of bottle at first - like a previous commenter mentioned, some babies reject one bottle and will only accept another, while other babies are the complete opposite and have no preference. We had great luck with The First Years Breast Flow bottles - Elle had no trouble transitioning between the two. Also, I had originally registered for some of the larger bottles (I think 9 oz.?). I found out after she was born, though, that the quality of the breast milk changes (i.e. the milk I produced when Elle was three months old was different than what my bodily supplied to meet her nutritional needs at nine months) - I didn't need to give her more milk, I was just giving her different milk (quantity vs. quality). So I never needed more than a five- or six-ounce bottle. If breastfeeding hadn't worked out for us, I guess I would have needed bigger bottles for formula feeding as she got older, but we were good with the same bottles (although we changed nipples to accommodate the flow she needed) the entire first year.
It seemed like there was SO MUCH to think about when I was pregnant and in the first few weeks - but just try to take it one thing at a time and know that your baby has extremely basic needs at first. If you don't have everything at the ready the minute you come home from the hospital, the world will not end. And seriously - rely on all support groups/people/blogs/etc. possible. Not to an extent that you're overwhelmed with things you should be thinking about or things you hadn't prepared for or too many options, but just to know that you're not alone, and people are more than happy to listen/help/share/let you know that they've been there, too. When you're sleep-deprived, hormonal and stressed, it goes a long way to know that other people have been there, too, and survived to tell about it :)

The one thing I wish I would have splurged on was a good breast pump, like the Medela one. I bought a cheap brand and used it only a few times because it was horrible.
Also, I wish I would have bought a Boppy. It seems like it would be easier to use than regular pillows.
&Although I haven't worked, I have been breastfeeding for almost 16 months.. so if you have any questions about it let me know!
Oh! Just thought of one more thing -- nursing pads. I tried a bunch of different brands and the ones I like the most are Lansinoh Disposables. They stay in place better especially at night while sleeping.
I'm not the one to go to for bf'ing questions since I only lasted a month. But that was the pump I was going to get and I guess it worked out that I didn't spend the money since bf'ing didn't work out for us. For that month though, I rented a Medela hospital grade pump from the hospital I delivered at and that was the BEST! So I would totally recommend renting one for a bit if you still don't have your own pump by the time baby gets here. and I FULLY agree with Karren on the Lansinoh pads, those were my absolute favorite!
A Boppy is a must! We use ours constantly! and I don't know much about jogging strollers since we can't use it yet but we have the Baby Jogger Summit for Ronnie when he can jog with her because Lord knows I don't jog. ha!! He researched that one and it got great reviews but I've heard good things about Baby Trend too. And you can't pass up that deal!
