Crowdtap is basically a website where you take surveys and earn points for prizes. One way to earn points is by qualifying to do sample programs. They always have Old Navy Sample Programs and periodically I am lucky enough to participate. This time around it was "Summer Accessories." While my experience wasn't flawless -- free stuff is still free stuff. I've been able to try shorts, coats, winter accessories, and now -- summer stuff!
Crowdtap and Old Navy wanted us to sample and talk about their summer accessories. In order for us to do this, they offered up coupons for a free beach tote, sunglasses, flip flops, and beach towel. Who knew how HARD it would be to find these items in the stores with clueless managers... ;)
THE WALL OF FLOPS!
The sad tote selection... I totally took this one but we had more coupons to use and so we had to stop at another Old Navy. There were not any other totes we could use the coupon on in the store [the coupons did not work for clearance items and there were tons of clearance totes available!].
Sunglasses [though these were not eligible for the Crowdtap coupon...for some reason], adorable flip flops [also didn't qualify for the coupon because they were not the "basic" ones], and some cute towels all rolled up.
The coupons were confusing, the store managers were also confused, and since we were not able to use the coupons on some of the items ... we had to go to another Old Navy to redeem them! Sheesh!
Anyways -- after two Old Navys and half a dozen issues with the coupons and added confusion... I made it out alive with --
The peach striped tote, a pair of aviators that might be men's [they were all I could find that they would let me use my coupon for], hot pink flip flops, and a chevron towel.
I have to admit that the towel is kind of thin and not my "ideal" beach towel, but the print is ADORABLE. I have never given Old Navy a poor review...just because it's Old Navy and it's cheap and functional...however...I would not buy their beach towels. Just sayin'. My favorite beach towels have come from TJ Maxx and Marshalls -- huge, fluffy, absorbent... and not terribly expensive! I think they were $12 and totally worth it.
Overall though I'm pleased with what I scored from Old Navy -- I just wish the process would have gone smoother! There really is no one to blame here -- the coupons were unclear, Old Navy's inventory was low, etc. so forth. Either way -- I still recommend Old Navy and Crowdtap but I wanted to be honest with the process this time around with trying to find summer accessories in stores!
*I received coupons from Crowdtap to try out Old Navy's summer accessories. No other compensation was received.

The towels are so very thin, and the flip-flops were hacked so narrow this year. Even the girls working there were talking about going a size up. I just donated mine to the giveaway box for our patients in need.
Love Crowdtap, and love Old Navy!
Love the tote you bought...so cute!
Awesome. Love Crowdtap and Old Navy.
Totally agree with you on the beach towels! I've been a super huge fan of their flip flops & sundresses this year.
That's kind of annoying! I really love your tote though.
