I wrote a few weeks ago how I wanted to be a more active "pinner" -- not just pin, but actually do. I spent this weekend doing a few things to satisfy my mission.
The original pin:
My version:
These are so delicious -- I've already made them twice. I'm certainly going to repeat this "pin" often!
The original pin:
Baked vegetables.
My version:
Paired with beer bratwursts.... so good! I have a really hard time eating vegetables as my husband will tell you, but the original recipe that I pinned from Classy Southern Wife looked like something I could eat. Easy. Hopefully delicious. It was!
The original pin:
Dump chicken. Chicken in freezer bags that you "dump" into the oven. This was an experiment since I want to do freezer meals in August before baby so we have food to eat after he arrives...
My version:
Ready to be frozen! This one was a dijon chicken. I froze, defrosted, and already ate the Herb-wine "DUMP" Chicken and it was really good! The chicken ended up being purple from sitting in red wine for so long but it was so, so good. I will definitely repeat that one for sure and this dijon mustard one smelled pretty fabulous.
The original pin:
Organize your cleaning supplies!
My version:
I couldn't find a clear shoe organizer so this one was cute enough to do. It's nice having everything eye level since I can't bend down anymore! Also will come in handy when there's a toddler crawling around. It's a wise idea to keep chemicals up off the ground.... LOL.
Other things I did:
Cleaned the dishwasher out. It made the dishwasher smell cleaner but I didn't really notice a difference.
How to clean your microwave... this worked half way decent. Some stains/food was still too tough to get off while others just wiped away miraculously. Either way -- the microwave is CLEAN. Hooray.

I did a lot of the cleaning solutions too! I just finished all my before baby freezer meals last night, so happy to have that one checked off my list. Those crescent rolls look delicious!
Lol...have I told you that I think you are hilarious lately? I could so see your preggo butt running around the house doing all this stuff & only you would find a posh designer-looking shoe organizer. Haha. : )
Cool! I was wondering if that vinegar in the dishwasher thing worked or not! The dump chicken looks good, I made one of those a few weeks ago and I was planning to make a bunch of packets at the end of August to have some meals ready to go in the freezer for when baby comes!
I pin SO many things and I'm always telling myself I need to actually make them! I'm much better at making the recipes than the crafts. Go you!
Good job lady, I need to do this very thing.
Great job! I'm terrible at pinning things and actually doing them. I'm going to repin a few things and cross my fingers! Haha.
dang look at you go!!!
I made those peanut butter chocolate crescent rolls and I didn't really like them but John did. I felt like I should have used more chocolate and less PB :)
I definitely need to try more of my pins! Those crescent rolls look so yummy!
That first pin looks delicious!!!
Those pins are sooo yummy! Now I want to try them.
I love the idea of cleaning supplies in the over the door shoe holder. So handy!
Great croissant idea!
I love that last one! I need to do that!
I love, love, LOVE that cleaning product pin. I've pinned that, but haven't done it yet, but you make a GREAT point about keeping chemicals off the floor--I KNEW that, but I hadn't thought about it yet.
I LOVE THISSSSSSSSS!!! I am going to try that "dump" chicken... it looks easy and amazing!
