My husband celebrated his 32nd birthday this weekend -- and even though I'm totally 9 months pregnant -- it was an epic weekend.
Saturday I tried to get some things done (like pack my bags for the hospital, clean the nursery), but the baby had other ideas! I definitely know what Braxton Hicks contractions are... thank you very much. I'd love to not feel them anymore... talk about annoying!
We got ready and headed toward the beach -- conch fritters were a necessary snack before hitting up a baseball & craft beer festival. It was a gorgeous day out so it was surprising that when we arrived at the baseball stadium it was pouring! It stopped long enough for us to get out of the car and get our tickets, and luckily, the concourse was covered. No worries about the rain for now!
At the baseball game, there was a craft beer festival before the first pitch. I was a little jealous of everyone enjoying the beer selections -- they did have three tables of ciders! -- but I would be lying if I said I didn't have a sip. I had to try just one cider. And, by try, I mean like two sips. Don't call the pregnancy police on me!

I, of course, had to take a picture of the beer with the word "Cannon" in it!
{P.S. -- Sometimes my iPhone takes pretty snazzy pictures. Sometimes it doesn't.}
Minor league baseball games can be fun. Empty bleacher seats, cheaper beer, and well -- fun specials like that craft beer festival that happened this weekend!
The weather ultimately cleared up but did sprinkle on and off.
By the 9th inning we had moved down to get ready for the fireworks!
On Sunday -- we hit up our usual happy hour spot (hey, they have food specials too!) and sat out on the porch while it stormed. Yes, Florida rains a lot. It was pretty nice. Afterward, the husband got a tattoo. That was pretty exciting.
After a legendary weekend for this preggo -- we watched three hours of Mad Men and had steak and cake. I might not be able to party like I used to, but I'm finding out that chocolate cake can be just as fun nowadays.

im not advocating it but i have heard from another pregnant lady that within a few weeks of your due date a little beer or wine is allowed. but you didn't hear it from me. a baseball game is a great weekend and summer and birthday event, happy birthday to your husband, last one of his before he is a father for the rest of his life
Sounds like a blast, cute beer name :-)
It sounds like it was a great birthday for him! I bet all those ciders were amazing. I love cider!
Happy Birthday to your hubby :)
Happy Birthday to the hubby! I love the picture of the beer, so cool how you were able to capture the sweat beads.
I am sure that I won't be able to go nine months without having at least a sip or two of a drink every now and then. I won't call the police. And I am not much of a fan of tattoos for myself, but I love that tattoo that your husband got! It's so unique, and the fact that he designed it himself is so cool!
Hope you're staying cool and feeling good in the last weeks! I can't wait to meet Cannon on your blog.
Looks like he had a fabulous birthday! My husband is a huge HST fan, he'd totally appreciate your husbands new tattoo :)
How cool that there was a beer festival at the game! I’ve never heard of that! I love Florida rain. People think Seattle is always rainy, but really it’s just grey and drizzles. The downpours in Florida are awesome. Cool looking tattoo! Happy birthday to your hubby!
Love his new tattoo!!
