Plan a pie party this spring. Celebrate on 3/14, the actual “Pi Day,” or schedule a potluck soiree on a breezy weekend. Make your favorite family recipe or try one of the ones I’ve curated from Foodie.com. I used Foodie to curate some of my favorite fruit pie recipes–everything from pumpkin to peach. I looked for recipes with a unique ingredient or a lot of whipped cream. I was surprised to see so many pie recipes called for a splash of liquor. Sign me up!

Soirees & Sangria usually features one themed sangria recipe, but this week I chose to use Foodie.com to find pie cocktails! I love some of these ideas. While I may not have had a jello shot in a while (okay, who am I kidding, since my last trip to Key West!), but actually making and serving them has been a while. Some of the jello shots and cocktails I found using Foodie.com were fun twists on old favorites. An easy way to take your pie party from day to night.
What’s your favorite pie? Are you daring enough to try a pie jello shot?
